Vistara's Offshore Development Centers (ODC) are a virtual extension of client's IT department based out of India without really having to invest in building up infrastructure and setting up operations.
The ODC teams are assigned to perform project work exclusively for a client, and remain under the control of the client.
The model below is a management communication model between the client and ODC in India. Lines of escalation and resolution converge at Vistara's corporate level Project Office, which owns all onsite/offshore delivery engagements.

There are two basic models for the structure of Offshore Development Centers.
- Vistara Managed
- Client Managed
Specific engagement processes and set-up procedures exist for each model.
Vistara Managed Model
Deliverables for the Dedicated Development Center. The client allocates work packs and tasks and manages reviews. All processes, including the development process and quality management systems used in the facility are per Vistara's practices. Vistara can also manage the ODC on build-manage-transfer basis if the client plans to set up direct presence in India.
Client Managed Model
In this model, Vistara provides the resources and infrastructure and management assistance for the client to conduct business. The client manages the team, projects and deliverables. All processes, including the development process and quality management systems used in the facility are per client specifications
